Cat and Blue Peony

Jimmy Mirikitani understands he is an artist. And only an artist. Like Mr. Mirikitani who overcomes great obstacles in his life, filmmaker Linda Hattendorf perseveres at her art to help Mr Mirikitani face his past. Both sensitive artists who capture the world around them. You can see Ms. Hattendorf’s film, The Cats of Mirikitani on Independent Lens and Mr. Mirikitani’s art work at pbs and at this site.

Both are a must see.

If you ever get a chance to see KQED’s ImageMakers series, don’t hesitate. Luckily, I’m a builder and user of MythTV so I can watch each program at my leisure. I just viewed “Delivery” by Till Nowak and it was quite fun. Talk about Strange Loops!

Also in this series is a wonderful romance between two unlikely lovers: “One Day a Man Bought a House” by Pjotr Sapegin

Check it out!
